As custodians of the environment, we are committed to its protection within our area of responsibility. We promote the use of water-wise plants in our planning, designs, and maintenance as well as the correct use of chemicals and we do not use any chemicals containing organophosphates which never degrade in soils and can affect the entire food chain. We are also committed to biodiversity conservation.
Our company has a commitment to reducing negative impacts on our industry and implementing the following policies:

• The correct disposal of all waste products through approved authorities and greens waste to be chipped and composted for re-use.
• The correct use of all chemicals and training of all operators in the application of chemicals.

OUR AIMS & GOALS
Urban Horticulture was established by Elton Fohren and Shepherd Mhlanga who have over 45 years combined experience in the field and have undertaken work in all aspects of the greens industries from landscape design, construction and maintenance, turf construction and maintenance including the construction of one of FIFA 2010 practice facilities to FIFA specification, environmental rehabilitation, civil contracting, nursery production and plant sales. Urban Horticulture is a proudly South African landscaping and Horticulture company and is a 51% black-owned company.
Our priority is to provide our clients with a service based on professional competence and Integrity. We strive to provide this service through commitment and clear communication lines with the correct authorities.
